Katy Perry showed up to Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards wearing a denim dress made by Versace Couture; she was channeling Spears' iconic look from the 28th Annual American Music Awards in 2001. (Also made by Versace Couture). Perry even recruited rapper Riff Raff to emulate singer Justin Timberlake, Spears' boyfriend at the time. Both are a smash hit! Britney Spears  returns to rock   Planet Hollywood ’s  Axis Theater soon, performing on  August 16, 19, 23, 27 and 30-31,  plus the new  September  dates. This dangerous denim get up is a custom made piece desighned by none other than, D'Squared. These jeans PC adorns were originally made for Britney Spears for her "Dream Within A Dream" world tour back in 2001-2002. Even more so I think it's quite fantastic I can get myself into a pair of custom made pants for Brit. ;-) Here's a little history on the background of these stunners,   The encore in which these are worn began with a giant projection of a hologram of Spears onto a water screen. The projection gradually shrunk until Spears rose from the stage while wearing a plastic cowboy hat, blue hip-huggers, and a matching bra top. Which I also own in addition to these jeans.  She began performing "...Baby One More Time" in a ballad version until reaching the end of the runway. Pyrotechnics surrounded the stage while the song changed to a more uptempo version with elements of techno. Britney Spears attended Elton John's AIDS Foundation Oscar party, and we almost didn't recognize the pop princess!... Britney Spears  showed off her new brunette hairdo looking oh so 'toxic' when she attended Elton John's AIDS Foundation Oscar viewing party in LA.  Elton John's bash was the only Oscars-related party that Britney attended,   With a plunging neckline and a sparkle in here eye, Britney walked the red carpet  in the most fabulous sequined  Michael Cinco Couture  dress &  YSL  pumps. BREAKING BRITNEY NEWS! Britney & her team have recently announced Brits much anticipated  release of  THE ONYX HOTEL Tour Live From Miami on DVD! Set to drop stores THIS JANUARY!... Britney's highly energetic & jaw dropping Onyx Hotel Tour back in 2004 was mostly inspired by Broadway musicals, focusing on  Grand Hotel , which was directed by Tommy Tune and portrayed a day in the life of the Berlin Grand Hotel in 1928. Spears said the hotel theme was inspired by having traveled so much, and was merged with the onyx stone concept. This was the grand finally outfit which she sang “…Baby one more time.” I was fortunate enough to purchase this costume during the o nline auction on GOTTAHAVEIT.COM. The auction featured some of Britney’s Stage worn Costumes and an extensive array of Never-Before-Seen Collectibles, all the proceeds went to benefit The Britney Spears Children’s Foundation, back in 2003.
