Lady Gaga released her highly-anticipated music video for “Disease”, the lead single off LG7. The music video was directed by Tanu Muino and features some looks styled by power stylist duo HARDSTYLE (Nick Royal & Peri Rosenzweig) which served up twisted fashion fantasy that was equal parts glamorous and grotesque. Hair by Frederic Aspiras, makeup by Sarah Tanno-Stewart and nails by Miho Okawara. For the opening look, we get to see Gaga in a lush black long wig and a quite innocent-looking vintage 1970s cotton floral mini dress which was sourced at Replika Vintage in LA! We meet Gaga‘s demonic alter-ego, clad in an all-black ensemble inspired by plague doctors. What many people missed is that this super complex look changed approximately 3 times in the video, with layers and accessories added and removed. She wears a black silk taffeta gown with wired constructions sticking out, and a feathered headpiece from another look – all from young French designer Charles de Vilmorin‘s Fall/W
The influences and trends of the 1940's & 50's are working today's runways for this fall:
Other than the hilarious faces that Lucille Ball constantly wore so well in every episode, I LOVE "I Love Lucy" for the gorgeous and timeless dresses and put together suits Lucy wore on the show. What ever happened to women wearing dresses during the day with their hair and makeup all done, sporting some of their finest jewelry, only to just run uptown for a few errands?... We need more of that!
Miss Ball still looks ohh so chic even when getting herself into crazy shenanigans! |

It’s amazing how fashion changes through the years huh? I remember my mother letting me watch what seemed like thousands of episodes of “I Love Lucy” back when I was a kid and how I always wanted to be her when it came to playing dress up. I’ve always had a place in my heart for Lucille Ball, so it’s great to see others are still talking about her today! One of my favorite episodes that I still love to watch to this day is The Handcuffs and lucky for me is available on my job’s site DishOnline.com along with more than 70 other classics to choose from! It’s a fantastic and free way to catch all of my favorite from Lucy and a great way to remember how stylish she was. :)
